Hello! Today, I wanted to share two more practice packs! My goal is to eventually have enough created that my students and I can work through a pack once a month in preparation for the ACCESS test in the spring. These packs are geared towards 3rd-5th grade students who are at an intermediate to high level of language acquisition.
I wanted to center a pack on math vocabulary that would span multiple grades so I chose to use Charts and Graphs as the content theme. I have found that while my ESL students generally love math, they have a hard time speaking and writing about math concepts. There is also a listening and reading activity. This set includes practice interpreting bar graphs, pictographs, circle graphs, and tally charts. For more information and pictures, click the link below.
I just finished my Solar System pack this week! I am excited to use it with my students soon. It features language activities across the four domains that are focused on objects in our solar system. In my activities, I have stated that our solar system has eight planets (no Pluto mentioned). I have included information on the sun, planets, moon, and space rocks. This packet was just uploaded to TPT today.
Happy Adventuring,
Heidi
